Pte Myles Brown is currently a serving Soldier from 1 PWRR with a rare type of leukaemia he has a young family and has served in the Army for nearly a decade including a tour of Afghanistan. Pte Myles Brown needs lifesaving stem cell treatment however a donor match has not yet been found.

With the help of the Anthony Nolan 1 PWRR and the wider BFG Community will be conducting testing to see if anyone is a match. This will be taking place between 12th and 13th of July across various locations within BFG. These tests are open to all members of the BFG community.

To be tested you must :

  • be between 16 and 30 years old,
  • be in good health,
  • weigh over 7st 12lbs (50kg),
  • have a body mass index (BMI) lower than 40.

Test locations

12 July

0930-1230 hrs: Mansergh Hall, Mansergh Barracks, Gütersloh.
1400-1700 hrs: NATO Officers Mess, Normandy Barracks, Sennelager.

13 July

1000-1600 hrs: Kaleidoscope Cinema, Barker Barracks, Paderborn.
