REGISTRATION OF DEPENDANT NURSING STAFF
1.159 It is MOD policy that current validity of claimed registered qualifications is checked. A certificate or other document giving evidence of registration is not sufficient proof and must be confirmed by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
Such confirmation can be obtained by being registered with the NMC Employers Confirmation Service. Further details including how to register can be found at the following web address: www.nmc-uk.org
If a Nurse is to be employed through LSU (example school Nurses) then applicant qualifications must be checked at the registration stage by LSU.
