The table below lists the different types of clearances needed for the vacancies advertised. It also lists the forms that require completion in each case. You can download the forms to your PC at home and complete them in BLOCK CAPITALS with black ink. You must take them to your local recruitment office personally however for checking, once you have signed them. Do NOT email the forms.

When you return the forms personally to your local recruitment office you will also need to take along the following documents:

  • Passport.
  • ID Card.
  • Birth & Marriage Certificates.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Proof of current Quarter Address (utility bill for example).

You will be asked to provide names and addresses of referees who will be able to provide references for you (not friends or relatives). In order to speed up the process and avoid delays it is essential that you provide this information covering the last 3 years in the case of security vetting and 5 years in the case of DBS checks. If you were not employed during the 3 or 5 year period then details from a professional such as your GP or someone of equivalent standing in the community would also be suitable.

The abbreviations quoted in the table below have the following meaning:

MOD - Ministry of Defence
DEP - Dependant (Spouses or children under 25 of military/UKBC personnel)
