Richmondshire District Council (RDC) provides each household with 1 wheelie bin, 2 recyling boxes and a white bag. A request for a green wheelie bin for garden waste has to be made to RDC.
- Grey is for non-recyclable items.
- Green is for garden waste.
- The white bag is for newspapers, magazines and cardboard.
- The green recycling box is for cans and plastic bottles, no black plastics.
- The black recycling box is for glass.
Recycling boxes and white bags can be collected from the HIVE.
If there are more than six members in the family an application can be made for a larger bin from the council.

Harrogate Borough Council provides each household with a black wheelie bin for recycleable domestic rubbish, a black wheelie bin with a brown lid is available at cost for garden waste, a recycling box for glass bottles and cans and a blue bag newspapers, magazines and cardboard.
Refuse and recycling is collected every fortnight on Tuesdays. More information can be found at www.northyorks.gov.uk
There is a Household Waste Recycling Centre in Ripon located on the Dallamires Industrial Estate HG4 1TT. Facilities include: Glass, Calor Gas Bottles, Scrap metal, Cans, Furniture, Xmas Trees,
Wood & timber, Cardboard, Plastic bottles, Paper, Fridges/Freezers, Batteries, Green Waste, Books, Tyres, Hardcore & rubble, Textiles & shoes, Used engine oil, Large & small Electrical Appliances, Telephone directories and Domestic waste.
Open 6 days a week, now closed on Wednesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years’ Day. Open:

Yellow Ribbon Pre School is part of Catterick Garrison Pre School Groups and is situated inside of Camp on the 1st floor of the Wakeman Welfare Complex. They cater for children from 3 months to 5 years. For further information please contact the Centre Manager Claire Marshall on 01765 632351.
There is a fully equipped gymnasium on camp for use by serving personnel and their dependants. Dependants are required to complete a membership form and attend an induction which is free. For more information please contact the Gym on: 01765 632309.

Located inside of Camp next to the Wakeman Welfare Complex.
