Criminal Solicitor Services for the BFG Community
RAF Legal Services - office closure date 28 June 2019.
If you have a legal problem and you are a serving member of the British Armed Forces based anywhere outside the UK, a dependant, a member of NAAFI staff or if you are subject to Service law or discipline then we may be able to provide you with free and specialist legal advice.
All the services that we provide are free from start to finish.
We specialise in criminal law in particular in relation to the following areas:
- Providing you with a solicitor to represent you in RMP / SIB interviews
- Advice on Summary Hearings (before the CO) and assistance with a plea of mitigation
Although we specialise in criminal law we can also provide advice and assistance in relation to the following areas:
- AGAI action
- Family law and divorce (Army dependants, UKBC and overseas RAF Personel)
- Service Complaints
- Certifying documents
Why instruct RAF Legal Services?
As solicitors all the advice and assistance you receive from us is covered by legal privilege and this means that it will not be shared with anybody else. We are completely independent from your Chain of Command and under no circumstances would we discuss your case with them without your express permission.
As members of the military we understand the military. We understand the particular and sometimes unusual circumstances that members of the Armed Forces find themselves in when serving overseas.
The advice we provide is free. If we are instructed to represent you at the RMP / SIB station then you will not pay anything. (We no longer provide representation at court martial hearings.)
We are based on Normandy Barracks in Sennelager and are therefore easily accessible to all the BFG community.
