EU Exit (Update 4)
'The Prime Minister has agreed an extension to the EU Exit process with the leaders of the 27 EU Member States (EU27). The key points are that:
- The UK and the EU27 have agreed a flexible extension of the Article 50 period for six months to 31st October 2019.
- If the Withdrawal Agreement is ratified by both parties before 31st October, the extension will end (withdrawal would take place on the first day of the following month).
- During the period of extension, the UK will continue sincere cooperation as a full Member State with all the relevant rights and obligations.'
EU Exit (Update 5)
On 16th July 2019, Ministry of Defence published an updated document with reminders of key actions to take in the lead up to 31st October 2019 (EU Exit Day).
On 10th May, Ministry of Defence published a document which includes important updates regarding the extension period before the new 'Exit Day', 31st October 2019. We have pulled together the points we felt most relevant for the BFG community and put them into a handy poster. Most of the current regulations and procedures will not change during the extension period, but it will be useful to take note of what will change after 'Exit Day, in both 'deal' and 'no-deal' scenarios.
