BFPO Christmas Mail 2017

Christmas is looming and latest posting dates for Christmas mail to and from BFPO to World-wide destinations can be found at all Forces Post Offices (FPOs) or if you can’t get there then they can also be accessed through the following link: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/british-forces-post-office-services. Please note that parcels posted to non UK addresses take longer to reach their destinations than letters so ensure that you check the latest posting dates and post early to prevent disappointment.

Latest parcel posting dates can be found at the following link: http://www.parcelforce.com/sending-parcel/last-posting-dates.

Deployed over Christmas

BFPO currently provides a preferential mail service to ensure that service personnel deployed around the world receive the best service possible whilst deployed on official operations. Under the current scheme, Enduring Families Free Mail Service (EFFMS) deployed personnel receive a free letter service.

However, to supplement this service over the festive season, a Christmas Families Free Mail Service (CFFMS) has been introduced. This is specific to the Christmas Festive period running from Fri 27 Oct 17 to Fri 24 Nov 17. Relatives and friends in the UK and at BFPO addresses worldwide will be authorised to send letters and small parcels up to a maximum of 2kg in weight to named Service personnel and entitled MOD deployed civilians located at authorised BFPO Operational locations inclusive of HM Ships.

Should you require further details on either of these service please contact your local FPO or visit the following website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/british-forces-post-office-services

Post Early

In the run up to Christmas, BFPO, HQ BFG and FPOS will publish latest posting dates regularly to remind customers of the different deadlines. However, to ensure that your letters, cards and parcels get to their destination in good time please POST EARLY.

Should you have further queries with regards the EFFMS, CFFMS or any other postal issue please contact your local FPO.
