You are reminded that Local VLO Offices are mandated by DVLA to ensure that vehicles owners have valid UK insurance cover, at the time of UK registration. Once DVLA Registration is carried out your vehicle details are entered onto the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) database. Should you not have valid insurance, whilst driving in the UK, you run the risk of being detected by one of the UK's 22,000 ANPR cameras and receiving a penalty.

You are also reminded that the only acceptable forms of proof of insurance are a Certificate of Insurance or UK Insurance Cover Note.

Should you have any queries about this requirement please contact your Local VLO or call the BFG VLO Helpdesk on Mil 94881 2637 or Civ 0521 9254 2637.
