England, Scotland and Wales

Deadline to register to vote: Tuesday 26th November 2019
Deadline to apply for or amend a vote by post: Tuesday 26th November 2019, 5pm Deadline to apply for or amend a vote by proxy: Wednesday 4th December 2019, 5pm Latest recommended date for postal Ballot Papers to be returned and in UK postal system: Tuesday 10th December 2019

Northern Ireland

Deadline to register to vote: Tuesday 26th November 2019
Deadline to apply for or amend a vote by post: Thursday 21st November 2019, 5pm Deadline to apply for or amend a vote by proxy: Thursday 21st November 2019, 5pm Latest recommended date for postal Ballot Papers to be returned and in UK postal system: Tuesday 10th December 2019

 

KEY BFPO DEADLINES

If you have elected to postal vote, you are advised to note the following timings: Earliest date Ballot Papers are anticipated to arive at BFPO from Electoral Registration Officers for onward distribution overseas: Monday 18th November 2019
Target date for Ballot Papers to be delivered to overseas locations served with a Forces Post Office: Friday 29th November 2019
Latest recommended date for posting of Ballot Papers back to the UK:
Friday 6th December 2019

 

Remember that you can always return your Ballot Papers through the German postal system (Deutsche Post).

 

You can register to vote as a Service Voter, Ordinary Voter or Overseas Voter. Full details of these options are contained in 2019DIN01-150. You can register to vote online (except in Northern Ireland); the process is safe, convenient and should only take 3 minutes to complete. Please visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to register as an Ordinary Voter, or www.gov.uk/register-to-vote- armed-forces to register as a Service Voter. In Northern Ireland, to register to vote you will need to download and complete the Northern Ireland Registration Form and return it to you local Area Electoral Office.
